I had nightmares for years. He was my boogie man I guess you could say.<br /><br />Like you I eventually realized he was a gental man who lived a hell.<br /><br />When I was about 19 years old, I checked out the true history of the Elephant Man book from the library. I remember bringing it home and being so nervious opening it up and looking at the real pictures of him.<br /><br />I found this post by typing in &quot;nightmares about the elephant man&quot;.
