And I swear, I'm like a 5-year-old with how much I love my birthday! If I could, I'd buy Hello Kitty paper plates and balloons and streamers and decorate the house. Well, I guess I COULD do that, actually. I mean, I'm a 36-year-old woman, I guess I can do just about whatever I want that's legal. But I didn't...maybe because I'm a 36-year-old woman...
Here's a list of things I'm thankful for on my birthday:
~ It's my BIRTHDAY!
~ A fantastic husband to celebrate with!
~ Two adorable kidlets to celebrate with!
~ The singing phone call I'm sure I'll get from both my mom and my older brother. Because, that's a family tradition, after all! (Possibly my cousin, too, but she does have small children, so calling and singing is quite possibly NOT on the top of her To Do list for today.)
~ My mom will say, "On this day I was so what?" and I'll respond, "Tired? Bemused? Cantankerous? In pain?" and she'll say, "NO! So HAPPY!" and then tell me how she was wheeled down the hall after giving birth, waving the pink card to my dad to show him that she'd had a GIRL! (I love this story!)
~ My wonderful girlfriends who are taking me out to lunch today!
~ EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!!!
~ Chicken paprika and egg noodles for dinner tonight
~ Chocolate cake with chocolate powdered sugar icing
~ Shogun for lunch on Sunday with my mom and brother (and Troy and The Kids, too, of course!)
~ A dog to lay on my feet (because that's where he is right now!)
~ A floofy cat to bite at me almost every time I pet him.
~ A home
Happy birthday to MEEEEEE!
