Bullet Points

  • Hi, I'm Lisa and I'm a failing blogger.
  • I like bullet points because it makes my posts look longer. Because we all know you want longer posts from me.
  • Stop laughing.
  • I went to ABKA Nationals this past Saturday, where I ranked second in kata and third in sparring. This is especially exciting because there were more than four women competing in both of those things, so I actually legitimately earned those, as opposed to kind of defaulting into the placement.
  • I'm experiencing allergies unlike I've ever experienced them, which makes me better appreciate what my husband goes through every time the wind blows. My face itches. Not just my eyes, my entire face. It's annoying. Feels like little bugs crawling on my cheeks.
  • Last night, Deco was telling me a story at bedtime, but he wanted to put in "funny words". So, he's telling "Jack and the Beanstalk" and gets to the end where the giant is coming down the beanstalk, and Jack says, "Mother! Mother! Bring me some scissors!" Cracked me UP! That kid is going to be SO FUNNY when he grows up!
  • The Kids don't know it, but we only have two weeks of school left! Yes, our official last day of school will be May 14th. Can you hear me cheering from there? I'm ready for some summer break!
  • I really want to teach Reilly to cook this summer. She's already chosen some recipes from some cookbooks she got from the library. Of course, they're almost all dessert recipes. Maybe we need a nutrition class this summer, too.
  • I think I like bullet points because it fits my rambling stream of consciousness better.
  • Darn, I forgot to wash the towels today.
  • OK, gotta run!
  • BYE!

Deco sounds like a riot. Who is waiting for him to grow up to be funny. He's funny now! :-)
