Yesterday, at work, a man was so rude, so impatient, that he almost made me cry. He made me feel so incompetent, and it was bad enough that the lady three customers down commented about his behavior when she got up to check out.
As I was standing there, trying very hard to continue to converse in a normal manner with customers while making sure I didn't burst into tears, I decided to say a prayer. "God, I know that my worth is not based on what that man thought of me. I am worth a lot simply because I am your child. And You are all I need." There was no bolt of lighting, no voice from the sky...but things just got better.

This morning, my mom had sent me an email with a link to this awesome video. I don't know about anyone else, but the lyrics to this song make me tear up a little bit because they are so true. And it really touched me because of what happened yesterday. God is so good!

Oh, and here's something funny, since I've gone all serious on you and stuff:

That is such a cool video. And it's so true. I'm glad you were able to stop and recognize who you are in the middle of it. You were PMSing too, weren't you? That's always when that kind of thing happens to me. :(

Oh sigh...I know how it is when a customer is so rude and makes you feel like simple crud. So true what you said about God and how He sees us. Really nice post.

Couldn't comment on the 80s post...guess I'm too young. Please don't throw anything at me. Just don't really remember those groups as much. *sigh*
