This Song Goes Out To My Cousin, Natalie!

I remember spending HOURS and HOURS in my den, making up a "routine" to this song!

Aaaah, I miss the 80's! The hair, the French-rolled acid washed jeans, the vests over big shirts tied at the waist, the neon...*sigh* Those were the days, my friend!

Funny, though, as I was watching this video, some of the dancing reminded me a little bit of pop-tart...oops, I mean "star" (insert HUGE air quotes here)...Britney in some her early videos. (Why I EVEN know, don't ask me...I think I got caught up in a Making the Video episode once...ugh.) Yet Debbie has on more clothing. Simpler times.

OK, now I feel old.

I'm off to find more 80's magic!

Yep, those WERE the days.
Her stuff was always so catchy!!!
I remember the first time I felt old was when my sister's kids' school had an 80's day during homecoming. "sigh" That hurt because I remember having 60's days.

She even looks a little like Britney.

Oh, what a flash back!!! I think our routine was actually better than that video!

I don't remember that song being SO long! I like the little clip of the old men dancing that they threw in about half way through...i think that's just to see who's still watching.

Thanks for taking us back to the 80's!

I think that maybe the length of the song is the reason we never finished our routine!

Good point...maybe we could work on it next visit. I'm pretty sure we even had a "stunt" as part of the routine.

Oh my goodness! I remember loving her. My favorite song was "Shake Your Love". What does that mean anyway...

Ok, Where Was I? said...

Oh no, I was totally unprepared for that flashback. I'm almost regretting getting rid of the bandanna and black vest b/c I might just put them on right now. I can even remember how smokin' I felt every time I put on my vest. Wrong.
