Yippee! Woohoo! Yay!
In just about 30 minutes or so, The Kids will probably appear in my room, bouncing and excited because IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE! They'll jump on the bed and then I'm sure that Reilly will ask if we can go to Webkinz World because that's her newest favorite thing to do. ((And, OK, OK. I'll admit it, I find myself logging on under her name and playing games "for her" so she can get more Kinz Cash. It's an illness.)
There are a few last-minute things to do, but I've recovered nicely from our power outage and have gotten all the Traditional Christmas Cookies and Fudge made. Troy is happiest about the fudge because it just wouldn't be Christmas without Million Dollar Fudge! I wrapped all but one present that needs to be wrapped by tomorrow, deciding that, to save my sanity, I'd wait on the presents for our family that we'll see on Saturday. I've got breadsticks and corn soup to make for our celebration with my dad and brother tonight, but other than that, I'm good!
I was thinking yesterday and I decided that if I could go back and witness an event in time, I'd want to be on the hillside with the shepherds and experience the arrival of the angels. After experiencing the darkness of our recent power outage, I can more closely imagine how incredible it would have been to be outside and to have the sky open up and filled with the light of angels! Wow!
Anyway, I hope that everyone who is reading this has a wonderful, merry Christmas! Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare him room and heaven and nature SING!!
