I'm Baaaaaack

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Hey, look over there! In my sidebar! It's a new thingy! I've got a YouTube video of one of my new favorite songs called "My Savior, My God". I wish that I could somehow get it to play automatically when the page loads, but the website that has videos like that doesn't have a whole lot of Christian songs, so I went this other route. Also, it's not actually Aaron Shust on the video, although he is the one singing. But it's the song that I love and that I wanted on here, not necessarily his face. So, give it a click and have a listen!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I'm so excited! My friend Flea is smocking a dress for Reilly! I'm in awe of this talent and so I'm not sure that I will actually be able to let Reilly wear the dress because I will be so worried it will get damaged or stained or dirty. But I may preserve it under glass and let people look at it when they come over.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Next weekend I'm going to Houston with my mom to attend my cousin's wedding. Without kids. Can you hear me jumping for joy? I'm so excited that I can hardly stand it! I mean, I know I'll miss them and all, but it's so rare that I get to go off for an extended period of time and just be around grownups. I'm not sure how to act! What if I embarass myself? I may reach over during the very posh rehearsal dinner and start cutting up somebody's meat or ask the mother of the bride if she needs to go to the bathroom before we leave the church for the reception - "Because I'm not going to take you to the bathroom once we get there!"

Your daughter had better wear the dress! And you WILL put it thru the washer and dryer!

That is an awesome song. Don't we sing it in church, or was that in my old church? Someone needs to put a bug in the worship team's ear if we don't.

But FLEA, what if she gets it DIRTY?!? What if it gets DAMAGED?!? I'm afraid I'd have a coronary!
Tee hee, just kidding! She and I are both looking forward to her wearing it til it wears out!

No, we don't sing that song at our church. I've just heard it on the radio. I loves it, though!

Haha..you will manage fine. It always takes me a couple of days, if I am gone that long from the kids, to start remembering who I was before them. That's the way it is when Jeff and I went on the cruises. After a couple of days, I would remember who I was before kids. I did not constantly think of them when I was doing things not typical of a mom....it would start to feel normal and okay again. I am always glad to get home and get back to them, but I grieve a little for that part of myself that I am letting go again.
Well, that was a very deep response, wasn't it? I don't think you needed all of that just go go enjoy a weekend away!
Just don't cut up anyone's meat or force them to go to the bathroom and you will be FINE. Just enjoy yourself!
You will have to post a pic of the dress for us!!!
